Who is responsible

TickClock (tickclock.com) is responsible for this website. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

Google Analytics

TickClock uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to count visits and see which pages are used, so we know what to improve. It is not used for advertising. It collects:

  • pages viewed, the page you came from and time on page;
  • device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language;
  • approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

With your consent, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_YRJ5XSMMLQ, which keep a random identifier for up to two years so that repeat visits can be counted. The data is processed by Google, including on servers outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choice

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you allow them, and a banner asks for your choice when your device is set to a European time zone. The legal basis for analytics cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

If you decline, Google Analytics sets no cookies. It may still receive a basic signal, without any identifier, that a page was viewed. Elsewhere analytics cookies are on by default, and you can turn them off the same way. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Allow or decline analytics cookies at any time:

Saved in your browser

The site saves a few preferences in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not used to identify you.

  • tc.lang: the language you chose;
  • tc.theme: light or dark theme;
  • tc.tz: the time zone shown on the board and calendars;
  • tc.consent: your analytics cookie choice.

Server logs and links to other sites

Like any website, our web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, time, the address requested and browser type. They are used only for security and troubleshooting, and are not combined with analytics data. When your calendar app refreshes a TickClock calendar subscription, it sends the same kind of request.

Buttons such as “Add to Google Calendar” and links to exchanges or official agencies take you to other websites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Advertising

TickClock does not show ads at the moment. If that changes, this policy will be updated first to explain which services are used and what choices you have.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing and to complain to your data protection authority. TickClock holds no account or contact data, so most requests concern Google Analytics data. Email [email protected] and we will help.

TickClock is not directed at children. If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
