Japan stock market hours (Tokyo Stock Exchange)

The Tokyo Stock Exchange trades in two sessions: the morning session from 9:00 to 11:30 and the afternoon session from 12:30 to 15:30 Japan time (UTC+9). The afternoon close moved from 15:00 to 15:30 on 5 November 2024. Orders are accepted from 8:00 and from 12:05.

The market is closed on weekends, on Japanese national holidays (including substitute holidays) and from 31 December to 3 January. There are no half days. Japan does not use daylight saving time, so only the gap to countries that do changes during the year.
